TULE COLLECTION
CURATING MEANINGFUL ORGANIC OBJECTS
This natural fiber collection was introduced by Txt.ure, a collaborative design project committed to revisiting classic techniques from Mexican folk tradition with special functional and aesthetic qualities. We now support one of the last-known surviving artisans of an incredible Mayan weaving technique, and we feel compelled to ensure this beautiful art form didn’t go extinct.
After a successful kickstarter campaign, we contributed to the building of a workshop and started training more artisans in this treasured craft. It is a social project set up to identify lost fragments of Mexican design heritage, adapting historical values to create new crafts.
